Your at home routine definitely isn't cutting it - trust me!
No doubt your bathroom is full of at home cleansers, exfoliators, toners and moisturisers, and while its good practice to have a good skincare routine, that doesn't mean you should be skipping out on seeking professional help. Even though you may not suffer from acne or other chronic conditions, your complexion will still benefit from the attention of a skincare professional. Getting a facial is important to understand how your skin works and how it reacts to stress, hormones, and the elements," says Regine Berthelot, the treatment manager at Caudalie Spa in New York City. "People with problematic skin should book a monthly facial. At the least, getting one every season is recommended to keep the skin balanced."
A facial serves three main purposes. Firstly, it gets rid of all the dead skin cells, freeing the pores and allowing cellular turnover. This vastly improves the health and tone of the skin. Secondly, it enables oxygen to circulate through pores, which is vital because your skin is a living, breathing organ. As we get older, the oxygen supply in our body decreases which causes a slowdown in cellular turnover, so in order to maintain youthful, glowy and healthy skin it is vital to keep the pores clean to allow optimal collagen production. Finally, once your skin is clean and your pores are open, any skincare products that you apply will work harder and give better results.
Taking care of your skin is a choice, an investment and a guarantee for the future, literally, If you look it up on a dictionary, investing means “to spend money with the expectation of achieving a profit”, and our mission here is to take care of our face, that will be our visible result in the long-term. So, the question that obviously comes up is, is there really such a big difference between cheap skincare products and facials and expensive ones? The answer is yes, you get what you pay for! Sure, there are cheaper alternatives out there, and there will always be people that will offer certain services at a cheaper price but everything I do at LBU Beauty is to create long term, lasting results, whether that is getting rid of acne, fine lines & wrinkles, pigmentation and sagging skin or for promoting cellular turn over and a glowy, youthful complexion that lasts for weeks (serious #skingoals!!) and to do this I use products and technology that WORK, and continue to work long after you have left the salon. Whenever I trial a new product or look for a new service to offer, I always think "What would I want to use on my skin?!" - I only want the best for my clients, and ingredients and results are the biggest things to consider.
As the old saying goes... "Invest in your skin, its going to represent you for a long time!".
